well first of all i just got a bassani x pipe with hi flow cats and i wanted to see what it sounded like and it sounds like complete crap but owell only an hour or two and the cats will be back on but any way i have 300 dollars and i was wondering which one would be more benifical to myself and the stang i have a 03 gt with steeda UDP, Bassani x pipe with flowmaster 40's,drangon 75mm upper plenum, ford racing 70mm TB, Steeda CAI, steeda tri ax short throw shifter, and aluiminum driveshaft and i was wondering which one would be better for me to get a Predator TUNER or a set of BBK Shorty headers? also is there any reason that any one knows why the exhaust sounds like crap when i took the cats off?

thanks

sorry to hear it is sounding bad,I dunno why it really would sound bad...other than everyone has there own opinion of a good sound.I would guess you would get more help on a better sound for you if you explained the type of sound you wanted. If you are looking for the old type muscle car sound(low deep tone) then the X isnt the best way to go,you would want a catless H.X is like a Nascar sound and H is kinda old muscle car.Awhile back there was a gt on here that sounded awesome with Pypes violators(mufflers) and o/r x,that is the first x pipe I heard and really liked the sound. There was a clip here on the forums but i forgot the member that got them.

Now as for what else to get most here will tell you that shorties are a waste of money, they really give no performance...maybe a lil better sound but I dont think the trouble of the install would justify that...:shrug:If my only 2 choices were for the tuner or shorties,I go with the tuner

don't even bother with the steeda CAI - go with a JLT True Cold Air intake - it is awesome and actually works with lowering intake temp drastically. A set of a Steeda underdrive pulleys can be had for less than $200.00 and those also add some nice true horsepower/tq tot he rear wheels

He already has the CAI.

Did I read his post wrong?I thought he already had all that stuff...I thought he was asking which to get....shorties or a tuner.
