Running a 306 with E303 cam and 4.10 gears, what stall converter should I use to keep it happy on the street?

I was supposed to convert my son's car to a T5 after rebuilding his engine with an E303, but he has changed his mind, and wants to keep the auto and the lockup function of the converter. It is a street only car, and is having driveability issues using the stock converter.

Thoughts?
(This is a 94 convertible with AODE, but I thought I'd get a better response in this forum.)

Take it for a test drive and drive it hard. Feel for when it feels like it starts to pull harder. It should feel like it has a nice dead spot until it finally starts making power because the stock converters stall point will be much lower than where the engine is actually making power. I hope that made sense. If not, just ignore me.

I'd guess like a 2500 stall would work excellent with it. With the 4.10's it would get up to that 2500 real quick and I seriously doubt an E cam is going to start making power any later in the RPM range

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

Just my opinion, good convertor at a reasonable price. I have never had a problem with any of there products and they stand behind them! (Link Below)

Well, after finding out that the AODE comes with a 2300-2400 stall, compared to the AOD's 1800 stall, we have decided on a 3000 stall, keeping the lockup function for cruising. Guys on other forums are having good experiences with these.

(The car is an SN95, therefore the AODE... I posted in the Fox section to get responses. The SN section is very slow.)

Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
