what tranny should i have in my 2000 gt

i was under my car today putting in my new off road x pipe and i notice it said tremec on the side of my tranny. the car only has 20000 on it. when i bought it it only had 12000 on it and i bought it from the original owner. he didnt say anything about it having a tremec. i didnt come in there stock did it?

Yes they have tremecs, you should have a t45.

Borg Warner / Tremec - one in the same now. At the time, Tremec was buying BW and their cases were used to build T-45. 99-early 01 got the T-45. After that, the TR-3650 was standard.
