What Trans Do I Want For 430 Rwhp Fox Body

I m leaning toward staying with standard shift but dont know what is the way to go


I forgot to mention that the trani already has a cobra gear set in it

You might be able to get away with a stock T5 froma 1990 and newer as they have stronger internals, a good shifter and clutch. If you step up to the TKO, you'll need a different bellhousing.

If you're just granny shifting the stock trans will last a little while but I highly recommend going with a tremec/G force-A5 built T5. Stock t5 's are brittle and do not like speed/power shifting. It will break. Just a matter of when

Auto for the win...a good FB AOD or Lentech...sliverfox AOD..there all decent...can handle 450 rwhp pretty easy...
