It also said Borg/warner on it.

Also my speedometer isn't working so i looked under the dash and there is nothing attached to it , i couldn't find anything on the tranny where a speedo cable would go. So do these cars use a cable speedo or an electric speedo? and what can i do to get it working?

Thanks ahead of time!

If you are referring to the car in your signature, it most likely has a t-5 if it's a borg warner. The speedo is cable. It hooks up to the transmission through a speed sensor that connects to the tailshaft of your transmission. The speed sensor has a plastic speedometer gear on the end of it.

Ok but where on the tranny is the speed sensor? top , bottom , side? I looked but didn't see anything for a speedo.

you got a t-5, the speedo cable should be on the upper left side of the tailshaft, if you take it out it will have a little plastic gear on the end of it.

The speed sensor is on the tailshaft of the driver's side. It is cylinder shaped and made of black plastic. If you do a search on 5.0 resto, you will be able to find a picture of it.
