well i went out for a ride today and was playing around. went to hit the brakes and realize that the factory brakes is not good for stopping at a high rate of speed.:nono:

so my question is did you upgrade your brake, and if you did what did you use and what for?

im wanting to stay 4-lug right now. not sure if im going to do a 5 lug swap. and if i do it will be long time down the road. i was looking at the slotted rotors and better pads. but not sure how much better they would be.

:search:

A google search will reveal tons of web sites that offer information on this. However, if you want to stay 4 lug your somewhat limited in your options. Not sure of your budget but you could start with an SVO Master Cylinder, SVO 73mm Brake Calipers, some stainless caliper sleeves, some hawk pads, and new rear brake shoes. Check Maximum Motorsports out, they sell "Stock" upgrade kits for our cars. How beneficial they are is arguable however. Your best bet (for your money) is to go with an SN-95 brake set up. These can be had relatively cheaply in kits (from companies like MPS auto salvage, and others on Ebay) or you can piece it together with a little time and research.

Good luck!

SSBC, Baer, and other big-name companies make 4-lug big brake kits. If you don't want to go to 5-lug then I'd suggest going w/one of those.
