What weight of oil for Tranmission and differential??

Hi guys, im thinking of changing the fluid in my differential and my T-5 transmission on my 85 GT. What weight would be best for these? Also, does the transmission take a certain kind of oil or does it use differntial oil? Thanks

The T-5 you use ATF. You can use Mecron V or Dextron/Mercron. The best is GM Syncromech, Royal purple also makes Syncromech. The Differential takes gear oil.

About 3-3.5qts in the tranny, and a little more than 3 for the diff. Just get four of each.
