Thinking of running 305/35/18 Nitto 555Rs in the rear with 10.5" wheels. What do you guys recommend for the front set of wheels and tires on a stree/strip car?

18's are bad for the strip because of the stiff sidewalls. But if you're going to use the 18's for the strip, the lightest wheel and tire combo in the front would be the best. So get the skinniest 18 you can. However, a 255 width tire maximizes handling on the street.

You can throw all the way up to 275's on the front from my experience. My 275's up front rub very very little when theres a huge amount of suspension travel.

are you maximizing handling on the street with 255 all around? what is the purpose of wider tires on back?
