What Wheels Are These - What Lug Conversion 2 Use

Those are Saleen wheels made by STERN. Extremely rare, extremely expensive and they have a unique offset depending on what year Saleen they come off and what brake setup it uses.

OH, moved to 5.0 talk

Used is your only hope.

Those extra photos are georgeous, and they are not helping me. I mean, I just want to find them even more and even faster now. Thanks for sharing them - they just confirm more that these are the wheels I'm trying to find.

Any insight to 5 lug conversion I need to work with to best match these wheels?

I thought Stern made the 3 piece ones like those and Speedline made the 1 piece ones???

I know Speedline makes something almost Identical to those. But good luck finding a decent website for them...

You may be right. Stern may have done the 3-peice and those 1-peice are Speedline wheels.

They even had a rare 4-lug version you could order from Saleen.

As for what brake setup to use, the Fox Saleens ran the SVO brakes and some had Alcon front upgrades in the 90's. I beleive most ran the SVO brakes. I have found some info that suggests around '91-92 Saleen may have switched over to the 10.5" vented brake setup of the Mark 7/'93 Cobra R. It's a setup similar to the SN95 brakes.
'

That means you can just run the 5-lug rotors up front.

Out back is a little tricky since i beleive the rear wheels have deeper offset to account for the extra 1.25" each side that the SVO rear brakes push the wheels off.

those wheels are going to be really hard to find.

first i would try and find the wheels....after that worry about the 5 lug parts becasse be ready to drop $$$ on them wheels and that's IF you find a set. id search eBay daily to look and see if anything pops up.

You know, I forgot to ask for a part number or name or something I can search by. Any suggestions there?

I've sure been warned about the price tag, which is not a concern. I'm keeping my fox forever (anyone ever said that before?)

Thanks everyone, and Happy Holidays!

Your willing to pay 3k for wheels? Thats insane, you can get a real nice set of wheels for 1200 MAX. Save the extra cash and get something else. IMO those wheels are too flat, I like a little dish to wheels.

There used to be a guy on here who "came accross" as set about every 3 or 4 months and had them on ebay for like 4k....no idea where he got them but he was always posting about selling them...

There's also a guy here locally that i see all the time with a set of the 4 lug versions on a white GT and they are nasty as all hell and filthy looking, i doubt he has any idea what he's got sitting on his car.

Give up while you are ahead, you aren't getting those rims, likely ever. They are about as rare as it gets.
They are worth as much as some peoples entire car.
Sets pop up on ebay maybe once a year, for a messed up set they are worth 2 grand as said above, and for a mint set you are looking at 3k+ and that's without tires.
You can't get the rims new, because it's been a long time since they were made.

It is possible to find them in an 18, or a rim very close to it, but last time i seen them they were $6000.
