I ordered the trick flow top end kit for my notch.It ran 15.0's all stock except 410 gears,h-pipe,flowmasters and sub frame connectors.It is an auto with a shift kit.Will h/c/i get me in the 13's ?

you will easily be there without a converter. add a converter and you will be deep into the 12's.

Deep 12s is going to take tires, converter, and all the bolt ons on top of that HCI, but that stuff should be done anyway. Your car with that stuff should be solid 13s, and then it's smaller purchases to widdle it down into the lower 13s and 12s.

It probably should've run at least low 14s before the kit....no offense but if it's your driving skill that's holding you back, more power might not get you any faster. Sounds like you definitely need some traction, maybe upper and lower control arms and slicks and definitely a converter for the auto.

I agree it should have run low-mid 14's....but most AOD's are POS's and no longer shift correctly....well they never did when they were new.

My AOD hit 2nd at 5,900 then 3rd at 4,700.....what a power robbing trans. Although the AOD SHUFFLE worked magic!!
