That's a very subjecting question. You should ask this in the Power Adders forum. You will get many different answers, esp when comparing the Vortech and Paxton diehard fans.

Well, knowing what kind of work Cobra Killer does, and how good he is at what he does i would say you cant go wrong either one

I have the Novi 2000 currently. The main difference is the Novi will be capable of pushing more boost in the end than the Vortech. Also, the bracketry is much, much better than the Vortech.

NOVI-2000

The original NOVI-2000 is the centrifugal supercharger that revolutionized the supercharger industry in 1995, and remains Paxton Automotive's most popular supercharger today. Though the NOVI's unique impeller design and compact scroll housing make it capable of producing 27 psi of boost and sustaining 900+ horsepower, most Paxton Automotive NOVI-2000 systems are designed to deliver 8 psi of boost. This moderate boost level delivers maximum power and torque, yet is safe for today's engines running on 91 octane or better unleaded pump gasoline. A horsepower gain of up to 50% on most big and small block V8 engines is typical without a loss of fuel economy in cruise situations.

CFM 1700
Max Horsepower 980

VORTECH V-1 T-TRIM SUPERCHARGER
The supercharger of choice for street/strip vehicles with modified engines
Straight cut spur gear
Fits engines up to 825 horsepower
Maximum airflow: 1,200 CFM *
Max psi: 26#

Hope that helps!

I say go with the Novi 2000. The bigger the better, but perhaps that's only due to my ego problems.
I don't think you will be dissapointed with either setup.

I have a Vortech SQ that Tim has worked on in my car. We plan on making 600rwhp this summer with it and my new engine that is building for me.

Check the 03 march issue of 5.0mag.
They compare the V2SQ-Strim, P1SC-II AND NOVI2000 on the dyno and there is like almost no difference at all between the 3 blowers in HP and TQ !

I have the T-trim cobra kit sitting at my house right now waiting to be installed. That would be my choice if I had to do it again
