since i'm doing a rebuild, i was thinking about throwing in a mild cam. what do you guys recommend? i don't really know whats out there so i don't know where or what to look for. i'm going to be running a pretty much stock motor:

87 gt 5 speed
306 balanced and blueprinted
ross forged pistons
stock rods
stock crank
stock heads (MAYBE mild do-it-yourself port/polishing)
crane 1.6 rr's
cobra intake
65mm tb
70-75mm maf (haven't decided or purchased yet)
24# injectors
u/d crank pulley
bbk cai
hedman longtubes (1.5" primaries 3" collector)
2.5" o/r H pipe
spintech prostreet mufflers
4:10 gurrs
other supporting parts such as fpr, hardened pushrods, double roller timing chain, etc.

should i even get a cam now or should i just wait until i have a few more serious mods? any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Jason

The stock cam, it would make the most power for your application. Do yourself a favor, either get Thumper to do your heads or buy other ones. Ditch the stock heads!
