What would I need to convert to a 347 stroker?

I'm new to engine swaps, but I would just like to know what all would be needed to swap a 347 stroker into my 302 Fox. Thanks guys!

I second that emotion... I too want a strocker eventually. I know its not my thread, but please no 331 vs 347 wars.

its not really an engine swap.. well it can be if you use a different block or what not.. but its a kit you buy, not a whole different engine.

go search on ebay for 347 stroker kit, and you see a pic of what it all includes and a rough price on what one might cost..

either buy a crate engine and just drop it in - probably as cheap, but here's a quick run down of new stuff you will need...

Rods
Pistons
Bearings
Machine work - budget $1000 for this
Heads
Cam
Intake
Throttle body
MAF
Injectors
255lph fuel pump
AFPR
Fuel pressure indicator
engine mounts (yours are probably shot)
oil pump needs to be replaced
all new gaskets
all new ARP fasteners
oil pan (can get by with stock)
clutch - need new one to handle the power
radiator/electric fan/3G alt - need better cooling for 347 than stock 302

There - that should get you started - you don't *need* all of this stuff (I assume you are starting with everything stock) but you don't put in a 347 with stock HCI etc etc
