What would make a clutch pedal 2-3 inches higher than the brake pedal?

I just got a MM firewall adjuster and cable kit, now my pedal is too high.

I have an adjustable cable, aluminum quadrant, and a firewall adjuster, and my pedal is the same way. Dont know why that is, but I guess I just got use to it.

I thought it was suppose to be like that. I just have the adj cable.

Thats just how it is. The pedal needs that travel in order to properly disengage the clutch. I don't like it, but I'm used to it....

Can we do that gas pedal mod on our cars? Where you raise the pedal to even with the brake pedal for heel/toe driving? I know you can on 99+ cars, but what about ours?

some of the muliple hook quadrants tend to agrivate this situation a little more, but the natural height is 2 inches above the brake pedal. MM sells a kit to lower the height of the brake pedal, but as black fox mentioned, I have to wonder how this will effect the disengagement.

NOw I see that's normal. when I had the other bbk quadrant, the pedals were even, and I liked the way the clutch engaged much better.

oh well, i'll get used to it.

fyi, I've got the frpp single hook, and my pedal only sits an inch or less higher. I'm pretty sure it's the multiple hook quadrants that shove the clutch pedal up at an awkward angle, causing all that extra height, cause I don't have that with my single hook. We bought a mm quadrant to install to see if it would bring the height back down, but I have'nt installed it yet. Stay tuned in to my clutch adj article and I'll post in that what I found
