what would YOU choose

its up to you. Personally for me the tt is too little. That the main thing i have a problem with.
That and early tt's(01-02) have crappy ass suspension calibration. Its hard to describe, but it definatly was not pleasing.

im debating between a 2001 audi TT with 250AWHP 6 speed manual or a 2001 black GT coupe with a procharger. which would YOU choose and why?
very important in your decision, what mods are on the TT? the other car i know almost as well as a mustang is the Audi TT. my buddy had an 03 225 TT with every bolt-on available except for an upgraded turbo and i did all the wrenching. he was putting down ~280 awhp, ~320 w/ the nitrous. problem with those cars are, unless you get a damn good tune, the car will run like crap. little things ALWAYS went wrong. for example, he got a custom ram air intake (developed by some TT bigshot) and the oil from the K&N filter got on his MAF sensor, which failed, and made his car throw a code and continually die. that was a PITA to diagnose. took me the better half of a day to figure that crap out :bang:

EDIT: on second thought though, if you want a good handling car, the TT is the way to go. that AWD car really tears it up on the twisties

For everyday use I'd go with the GT. The TT is a great car (Quattro is bulletproof, as opposed to Subaru's STi) but it's not as user friendly on a day-to-day basis. Don't get me wrong, they're an absolute blast to drive (4-wheel drifts 'til your head spins) but they seem like they're geared more towards a "I think I'll drive the TT today" option rather than having to cram yourself in it everyday to go to work. If you drive it you'll probably fall in love with it -- the handling is like train rails, you feel like you're in a European sports car (plus in my book), the 3.2L in the 250hp version is pretty strong and you have the stability of Quattro in the winter, but keep in mind that you have to fold yourself in 1/2 to get in and it has many a blind spot. Just my .02 (and some change).

Well I see that you live in NY so if either of these cars will be your daily driver then I would probably recomend the TT just so that you can drive it in the snow. If you have a second vehicle than to me its a no brainer, the Procharged GT. The Procharged GT will definately have an increased fun factor imho, and definately looks a lot better (Especially in black).

Audi TT - such a odd little car. its looks aren't as stong as like that on 350Z. Not as cute as VW Bug. And not as exatic as 911.

Yet if you squinch your eye, it looks like all of the above

I say the Audi... I've had enough experiances with mod'ed 'Stangs... let me try something that has awd and a gearbox that I can shift with my pinky... A 4.6 with the hypercrap pistons and rods with any forced induction sounds like :notnice: ...

yea i have to agree that it depends on what you are going to do with the car. dd go tt, just because the reliability is compramised with the gt.

if its a play car or weekend car then def. the charged gt. simple because it will smoke alot of cars and will be super fun.

Personally, I would chose the Audi ..... I already have 2 supercharged Mustangs. Wife wouldn't let me get another. :rlaugh:
ADVICE: Actually the difference and 'newness' of the AWD Audi would be great to explore.
Also, dependent on you life style. Commuter duty? Weekend toy?

wow talk about two totally different cars. If you only know that the car has a blower on it and you are buying it after someone else has installed all these other mods than, I guess the TT. I wouldnt buy a car with a blower on it unlesss I know every inch of the car.

Besides the performance and looks differences... Really... I mean c'mon...the Audi is also a LUXURY car! So you get performance, keen looks (they have some awesome lip/body kits for those cars), and amazing accoutrements/doo-dads on the inside.

and a repair through the roof if anything breaks. My family had an Audi a8, expensive as hell.

Ehh, like a few already said, I would'nt touch a blown GT without knowing every damn little thing the guy did with the car. God knows if he liked to redline it on a daily basis, or just drove it normal and smoked cars occassionally.
But the TT is small, and will become dull and boring after a matter of time. Stangs dont really get boring, rwd is always fun, **** go out in the rain for fun if need be.

I would'nt buy the stang, period. And i'd probably pass on the TT also.
Why dont you shop around and get a nice A4 with low mileage. :D
