What Would You Do?

Hello all! I have been toying with the idea of "upgrading" my 1998 Mustang gt vert to make it faster. It is basically stock except for K&N CAI, flowmasters and a Triax. I want to make it faster, but do not want to supercharge it. The car only has 30K miles on it and is a weekend driver. I have considered selling it to buy a used Cobra, but I am afraid a used one will have been driven hard. If you were going to spend ~$3,000. what would you do? I know the first suggestion for most will be gears. I have already decided that will probably be the first thing I do. After that, most will suggest PI headswap. Will this "hurt" the car in any way? These mods would be ones I would pay to have done, so can I get both done for $3K-4K? Anyone know a good shop in Northern VA? Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

PI Heads, LT headers, New March underdrive pulleys, Plenum 225+40+25+12+7 = 309hp?/ 250hp at the wheels for about 2000.00.

Then go to handling or for Hook - Springs, shocks, Subframes maybe a panhard bar. about 1000.00. The Panhard Bar is a huge improvement. I rode in a Stang with it. It is like a different car compared to mine.

Oh yeah Gears! 4.10s -500.00

Buy this stuff used and you could reduce the cost to your 3000.00 level easily. I bought an H pipe, Pulleys for 135.00. did my own labor too.
