What would you do?

I have a FRPP cobra intake. The other day I was driving and the Idle got real crappy. I got home I notice a huge crack in the Upper intake. I've decided to change out the intake. Which would you do.

Satin Typhoon and get pulleys at the same time $400 for both

TFS intake by itself. $450

Polished typhoon intake $420

Eddey Rpm II $500

Gt 40 (Tubular) Upper only for $340

Tell me what you think would be best. I already have the elbow. All these prices included the shipping.

Since you got the chrome rims... I would opt for Polished typhoon intake $420.

I would recommend against the pulleys. I have top of the line march pulleys with "Bling" covers and whatever. Ever since the installation alternator barely holds the voltage. And ford originally made the pulleys just big enough to hold the voltage for our cars. so i would personally leave it alone.

I had very "Big" doubt about the typhoon intake but it turns out they are good intake. make sure you check for the casting imperfection and clean it up.

Typhoon is the most "Bang" for the buck. Besides they almost all flow the same...

I was wondering "How" did you crack the cobra upper intake???

I have no idea how it cracked. However My car was getting pretty hot before it went. I pulled the upper off and noticed the gasket was also bad. So I assume that the vaccum leak was making it loose some power and driving in 90 plus weather up hill made the motor stuggle and in turn cracked the intake with the heat. After looking at it doesn't look too bad. I just bought the typhoon intake at a local shop. One of the guys is gonna weld the crack for me and smooth it out. I will than polish it and attempt to sell it on ebay. The crack is by the rear upper bolt and is about 1.5 inches. So It might have been just the gasket that gave it the crappy idle. But better safe than sorry.

How bad is the crack?

Take it to a machine shop and have them weld it up

If you're dead set on not fixing the crack and definitely getting a new manifold, out of those choices I'd get the RPM II.
