On April 19th I sold 2 tri-bar rims to this kid for $100... He promised that he'd pay me the following week and I said that was fine. He also bought 2 tires for the rims at the auto store I work at and charged them to his fathers account. After two weeks and no money I started to get pissed so I called him and he gave me a run-around story each week...That he had to pay a cell phone bill, owed his dad money for the tires, needed the money for gas, etc..etc... Last week he promised that he'd have me the money today, so I called and he said he got busted for possession of grass... Said he had an ounce on him. Now here's the question for you guys:

If he hasn't had money to pay me back, how did he afford an ounce of weed? Normally a gram is sold for $20, being that there are 28 grams in an ounce that means that an ounce goes for $560, lets say $400 even because if you buy it in a bigger quanity you may get a deal....

If you can spend $400 on grass, why is it taking over a month to pay me a simple $100 for the wheels?

.... If I don't see the money by next week, I think his father will be paying for a nice little part from vortech on his charge account for me.

Explain to his dad what the agreement was. He'll probably make good with you and take it out on junior in his own fatherly way. He's already stealing from his dad by putting tires on his account, plus the drugs, and now stealing from you to top it off. Man, I never would've tried to pull something like that on my dad...

If you don't get your money at the time of exchange I consider it a loan. And we all know what happens when you loan people money...chalk it up and never do it again.

Okay, so I don't know that much about drugs....
....But that's besides the fact.

The tires are paid for as far as I know, his father said it was alright for him to charge them to his account. I do not know if his father knows about the rims he took from me though.

Not only that, but even if I call his dad...What's that really gunna do?
I can't go and charge stuff to his dad's account, cuz' that'd be fraud and I'd probably get fire+whatever fines/jail time. . .

I'm just pissed...

If his dad's a decent person...he'll cough the money up for his son.

If not...he'll tell you to screw off.

hopefully he's the former

Go take your wheels back. Call the new tires on them "interest" and "collection fees". Seriously.

waiting around for another week for the idiot to pay you is the worse option. Like stated above go and take back the rims/tires or call his dad and let him know whats going on. Call him with the intent to take them back and maybe he will just cough the money up for the rims anyway.

Call him... and hopefully mom/dad answer the phone and he is not there... then you can say "han you have him call me about the $100 for the wheels he bought weeks ago?"

That is tactful and I bet it works...
