What year explorer intake.

I have a 1995 ford motorsports upper intake and need a lower intake to go with it. I've heard that the explorer lower intake is like a gt-40 and cobra lower. If so what year explorer lower should i get. Thanks a lot and this is my first post.

The "without EGR" part means it's from an Explorer, which is fine for our cars, as we get it from the header anyway

welcome to stangnet, lot of great guys on here, particularly in this 94-95 section.

to answer your question, i think it's somewhere like 97-2000, but i could be mistaken.

i don't mean to sound like an *******, but the search function is very helpful, especially with this topic.

there is a difference in the lowers, the explorer lower does not flow nearly as well, there are some gt40 lowers in the classifieds for cheap here. look on www.austinareastangs.com

the explorer upper however flows great and i have seen it outpull the gt40 and cobra up top

if you are going to port it, the explorer lower will work fine

Mine came from a 96. Just port it. Easier than spending $100 on a different lower.
