What years 3650's and rear ends

Since my tranny went out for a 2nd time, I'm going to replace it instead of getting it rebuilt.

My question is what year/model mustangs would work for the 3650 in a '03 GT.

Also, would a Mach I 8.8 rear direct bolt or is it an IRS?

Halfway through 2001 they went to the 3650 so they should all work in your 03 no matter what year stang it came from. Also the Mach has a solid axle 8.8 not an irs

Good deal. I'm trying to find a 2003 or newer tranny though for mileage reasons. I figure a mach I rear end would work out because then I can get a better than 3.27 ratio without getting my 3.73 set back up.
