Im sure that you could get away with them on the street for a while but they're really meant for the track

Im going to daily drive the same rims on the street, plenty of people dd welds, but race star industries are actually one of the only DOT approved Racing rim, only thing you gotta look out for is skinny's up front like to lock up easily under sudden braking.

Those would specialize in strait line driving, not exactly made for cornering.

do it! thats what im running, but with a 15x8, 4.5bs in the rear

Potholes will annihilate those front runners, as will hard cornering. Plenty of people do it, it's just not ideal and takes away from the stopping and handling abilities of a normal width setup up front.

I would think you can get a much bigger tire to fit on that rim.
