whatever happened to the dominion 4 valve heads for 5.0Ls? ?

Back in the late 90s, dominion performance released some cnc aluninum 4 valve heads for small block fords that flowed awesome numbers (348 at .650) that retained the stock shortblock without mods. Did the company go out of business, or is anyone still making these heads? Anyone have em?

wow. Thats awesome. If i wouldve known about those, i wouldnt went with those. Any reason why this hasnt been discussed ever. Those look like that would look badass in the engine compartment as well

I'm not sure about you…but I'm not to keen about dishing out 10k for a set of heads! Add to the fact that the last guy that attempted to buy those waited something like 5 years and never received anything…including is high dollar deposit back.

oh. hell with that. I was assuming they were around 3 grand because on the website it says "for the cost of a blower why not run these".

Personally I'm waiting for the electronically controlled variable rate valves. BMWs and Mercedes already have them on production cars, it's only a matter of time before it gets filtered down to the SBF

I really doubt they will ever get to any non modern ford motor. I think a lot of the reasoning behind the variable valves is for emissions and such. Not so much as a power gain. 4 valve would be sweet but for the cost involved, you can get a supercharger and accomplish the same thing for much cheaper.

Probably kind of like a dohc 4.6 with a blower. That costs twice as much.

And could still probably be outperformed by a decent set of ported Track Heats or stock TFS high ports.

nope because even with all that hightech they STILL cant out flow a set of well ported SC1's

Arao has some good flow data with other 2V heads. Dont you think the reason you dont see them in racing is because there is no class that will let you run/use them?

Last I heard, there were some people pursuing lawsuits with Arao.

I heard Arao had problems recently supplying the newer "arao" sbf billets, not sure whats the deal today. I got a few sets of the older Dominion versions (for less than what some guys spend on 2valve billet heads) from when I believe there was still a partnership there with ford guy Hal. The old Dominion 32 valve versions I believe sold for as low as $3500 bucks to start then doubled in price I think after Hal left and as hype got bigger on them. I am going to finish up a set of 4V cannonball port versions hopefully this mo.

"Curtain area" is really where all the 4 valve heads can out flow 2 valve heads.

The Track Boss intake for Clevors needs a LOT or work to be a decent intake. The entrances to the end runners is FUBAR. Welding and heavy porting will be involved.
