Whats a good set of rotors and pads to get????

I've been running Powerslot rotors with Hawk Pads. I recently changed to Baer rotors with SBS or SBC (can't remember right now) pads and went to the racetrack. I can't even describe the difference. My new combination is much better. Fade is totally gone, the brakes are much more sensitive, and the car stops on a dime from 120+ several times without any difference in brake performance. I haven't spent much time on the street yet so I don't know if it squeals, but my hawks did. The slotted and drilled Baers also look much cooler on the car. I would definitely never go back and I've been running my first combination from Steeda for 4 years with 3 rotor and pad changes with never any improvement. I was giving up on the Cobra brakes and was going to go to a new caliper until this.
Street car - Cross drilled rotors with a good set of pads (Hawk).
Or just plain rotors with a good set of pads.
Track Car (Auto Cross) - Slotted Rotors and a good set of pads.
NOTES::
Slotted AND Cross Drilled (together) rotors are not a good idea.
Slotted are not good for the street since they do not get up to the correct operating temp.
If you buy Cross Drilled rotors, make sure they are cast with the holes in them. Some companies (e-bay) sell cross drilled rotors that are nt good because they buy plain rotors and then drill holes in the. This is not good as it weakens the rotor.
Rotors I would personally buy..........Brembo.

Btw, Brembo ONLY sells Slotted OR Cross Drileld Rotors. They DO NOT make Slotted/Cross Drilled Rotors. So if you see a site saying they are selling real Brembo Slotted/Cross Drilled Rotors, I wouldn't buy them.vipergts281 said:
