What's causing this??

I've had my 07 for about 6 months now and I love it. One of the first thing I did was swap out the stock 18" rims for some 19's, (see sig for tires). When I brought my car back to the dealership to get serviced they rotated the tires and I started getting a noticeable shake in the steering wheel from 60 MPH to about 70.

I have taken my car to Firestone twice to have the tires balanced and the shake is still there. Is there something else that could be causing this?

Some tires have arrow pointing to the correct rotation if you have them pointing the wrong way that may be causing your problem it’s a good place to start. Also have you tried putting back tires the way they were before the rotation?

You probably had a bent wheel on the back, and its now on the front. Take it to a wheel repair shop and have them check the front wheels to see if either of them are bent. You wont notice it until they are swapped to the front, so thats why you might not have noticed it with it on the back.

I hope not. The rims were new. But I guess you never know.

Pull your wheels off and make sure all of the little clips have been removed from the lugs. The factory puts them on to make assembly easier, but they cause aftermarket wheel shimmy. I had 2 on each corner. The look like a thin lock washer.

Not a bad to check you rims for hub centric spacers, if you were only given two they might have needed up in the back with the previous front rims. You may also have a bad rim/tire. I know every tire place puts the wheels with the most balance weights in the back when tires are installed.

i had the same problem when i had my tires balanced and rotated. dealership didnt tell me they put spacers in there. a local tire shop took em out and have had no shaking since.
