whats does your first gear top out at?

my car is auto and the motor is pretty stock and its shifts at like 45.
Sounds like a lil high to me. sound like a problem?
My tach is broken so i cant tell whats going on.

I've got a buddy who told me he could get to about 85 if he held it in 1st gear with his old 2.73 gears....i don't think you have a problem

Thats right about normal for a stock AOD. we jus installed a set of 4.10's in my buddies auto, made a huge difference!

when i have mine in with 2.73's it would hit about 65 at the yellow range on the tach.

i have 3.55 and i hit 42 at 5800 rpm

WTF!!??
I top out 1st at 5000rpm going ~22-24mph!
I should still have 2.73's, I did the rotate tire/count ds test and got ~2.75
so WTF?!?

depends what speed your going at too right? If you floor it off the start it will probably switch at a lower RPM.
