Whats gears with blower?

im probably switching from 4.10s to 3.73s, or maybe 3.90s at the lowest after my Novi 2000 install. I think 4.10s would work with a Centri, but man you'd better be mindful of that Tach when getting on it, cuz it will get up there quick.

Whos doing the install helty?
Either DynoSpeed Racing in Memphis or MPH. Heard great things about DynoSpeed, and they're only 2 hours away. But, maybe if i can schedule it right and get some time off work, I'll make the 9 hour trip down to MPH. this wont be until mid-summer, unfortunately :( gotta save and put some more money away for bills first :fuss:

personally myself I don't recommend 4.10's or anything above that. With a blower u will have so much power and so little traction i do recommend that for daily driving type use get a 3.55 or at max a 3.73 and with that u will get some good traction. even for going to the strip i wouldn't go over 3.73.

use a gear calculator. also what rpm will the boost build. if you cruise under more boost you milage will suffer.

I would lean towards 3.73's if I were you but there are 3.90's. you can run taller tires on ther rean if the 4.10's ere just a tad low.

main thing you want to avoid is rev limiter in 4th gear before the end of the 1320. aslo first gearis deap and traction issues can be horrible.

there are quite a few variable in gear selection. I drive enough freeway I played with my cruise rpm's a bit and decied on 3.73's. If I drove less freeway I might have consider a lower ratio.

it all depends on how much traction you'll have. if you will have a poor to good setup, stick with 3.27's. if you have a great setup, go 3.73's. if you have an awesome setup, go 4.10's.

It depends on a couple things. Is it an automatic or manual and is it a street car or street/strip car. My automatic with 4.10's traps at 130 to 135 in 3rd gear, at 6700 rpm. On the other hand, it's really too much gear for the street. I believe you would want even less gear with a 5 speed.

It's a 5 speed. It is a street and strip car. I already have 17x10.5 deep dish with Nitto 315/35/17's on the rear.
I guess I would leave whatever gear you have until you get the supercharger installed and get your dyno tune. Then, take it to the track or find an on-line calculator to figure out what gear you need. I run 28 inch slicks at the track, by the way. I would need less gear with smaller tires or drag radials.
