whats going on

i cant even chirp second gear in the rain and i have a 5speed. my clutch doesnt slip, i have 3.08s, and when i hit second it just dies(bogs). is this just gear, or could it be something else?

Is it stock? Are the RPM's normal? Maybe it is fuel you might not have enough of it.

pretty much stock, when i shift to second after burning first its only at about 2000 rpms, which is why i think its just the gears. it runs pretty rich with all the smog off and SD, so i dont think thats it.

when are you shifting out of 1st? you should be able to do this easily so were gonna get to the bottom of it

i have a mostly stock 87 GT and have no problem roasting the tires.

i just realized you said you couldnt even do it in the rain, thats pretty bad. how many miles are on you tranny? and was it ever rebuilt?

its not the gears, when i got my car out of storage it was slow, didnt light the tires up alot, i have 3.08's also. I cleaned my throttle body, maf, and iac and cleaned a bunch of parts, and i adjusted my tps whitch was WAYYYY off. Car was running great, now i can roll out of firsrt, floor it at about 2k rpm and it will just start to light up at 4-5krpm, and chirps second, and when i kinda drop the clutch, it will just SPINNNNN for ever and ever and not move, maybe like said before, your arent getting enough fuel or air? or something like that

no, i can roast first even when rolling on dry pavement, but cant hit second even in the rain. im not shifting to 5400rpms
