whats it mean when u try to start ur car and all u hear is a ticking?

i tried starting my stang and it just clicked repeatedly over and over veryfast comin from the starter.. that mean its bad???

the batt dont have enouhg juice to turn engine over so the starter is not spinning the motor and basically stripping itself

i was tryin to start it on pretty much a dead battery jumping it

the several times i started my car this winter(it sat outside) i always had to jump it cause i never disconnected the batt and it would drian from the cold and if i tried to start it it would go urrr urrr ttttttttttttttttt

If cold is killing the juice and there's no external drain (IE it doesn't die during the summer) than a new battery will definitely take care of that.
