hey guys im wondering for just a little help here. im not trying to sell a car here or anyhting just trying to see what i should be looking for price wise. im selling a 1989 lx vert. it has 153k on it and its completly stock except 3:73 gears im pretty sure. its from cali so its rust free and it just came to new york last year and has been garaged sinced except to drive on nice days. the back window on the vert top as been shattered and the driver seat tilts a little to one side. it runs strong and starts up right away everytime. im wondering what you guys think i should try and get for it ? thanks alot

Go to www.kbb.com and check it out. 150k plus miles on a clean 89. Maybe 3 - 4k on the high end. I am looking for a GT and see some on Ebay going for that amount. Look up similar cars on ebay and keep track of the listings until they sell. Pretty good indicator.

thanks ill try to get some pics up here by tommrow. the back window really kills me i just dont have the time and money for a new top or anything.

For whatever its worth, in 2003 i bought my 1991 LX vert and paid $6,000. It was clean w/80,000 original miles, mint and stock for the exception of M&M vert pkg and 3.73's. It was a Long island car and a woman at that owned it.

you cant really use kbb for our cars, it pretty much dicks us on the value. location plays a huge part too

In my experience kbb is always high. I couldnt get blue book for my gt. I got a couple hundred less. And dont even consider craigslist. You will get the most ridiculous offer. One guy offered me 2k when I was asking 6k which was the exact private party amount and said nothing less. There were alot of idiots like him. Funny, my friend tried selling his cherokee on craigs and the title says MANUAL 5 speed Transmission in bold all over. Several people have come by to test drive and were surprised it was a manual. People cant read.
