Bullitt otherwise, they had a little throatier of an exhaust from the factory. And anything non-96-98... they had six catalytic converters on their mid pipe. Talk about choked down.
other than that the 4.6's all sound about the same, 4Vs maybe a little 'racier' than 2Vs...and personally from the outside I think the 4.6 sounds a lot better than the new 5.0's; they changed the firing order
...on the inside of the cars the 5.0's are pretty sweet, but that's because of those sound tubes things or whatever that pipe tweaked engine sounds into the cabin
