whats the difference?

ok it sounds dumb but hey I have to learn sometime. I was just wondering whats the difference from an off road x/h pipe and a non offroad one. I know very little about car parts and components but I really want to learn so I can fix up my stang

Off-road has no cats (illegal....yeah right )

i believe that the offroad pipes have no cats on them, while non-offroad ones do have 2/4 cats on them.
