I was getting a bit of hesitation when accelerating on my stang, so I just tuned it up. Plugs, wires, timing, fuel filter, carb rebuild and air filter, but still I get hesitation during acceleration.

I figure that I should check the gap on my pertronix ignitor as maybe that is the culprit. However, I lost the gap tool that came with the ignitor. Does anyone know the gap I should set it to? I've got the 260 V8.

Thanks,
Jim

0.030" Can't believe I remember this, haven't gapped a pertronix in years.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've readjusted it from around 0.060" down to 0.030" and then reset the timing. The hesitation is gone.

Thanks again.
