I've owned a Mustang for longer than most of you have been alive, having gotten a 69 coupe in August of 78 right after turning 16. I owned that car until after I got my LX in 99. A couple of years ago I met up with some guys that had Fox body Saleens and thought those cars were pretty cool. I started dropping hints to The Wife about wanting one and her response was always "and just how do you plan to pay for that?" Dammit! She had me there. So I pretty much gave up on the idea. Then came our car club Christmas party in 2007.

i was always a chevy guy even though my father worked for fords he always bought chevys. i had always wanted a 85 camaro iroc z and my ultimate car was the corvette but i knew it would be years before i could afford one.one day i am at the local library and a friend pulls up in an brand new red 87 mustang gt . he tells me to hop in and floors it and next thing i know is i have to have one.18 years old and a part time job i talk my father into getting me 1987 white gt as long as took on a full time job and made the payments.i had this car for a couple of years before it was stolen from my work.i set out to get another one and i hear ford is coming out with yellow as a color option.now it is 1990 and ford didn't come out with the yellow because of color inconsistancies atleast that was what i was told.so driving by a ford dealership i spot a wild strawberry red lx hatch and i fell in love with the color.i ordered one and i had this car for all of 8 months when it was stolen christmas eve.i gave up after that and a couple of corvettes later and now nearing forty years of age i am trying to recapture my youth .i have an 87 t-top that i am fully restoring and my wife thinks i am crazy but she understands. i never got to appreciate these cars in my youth
