what's this part?

Need some help. My dad's 96 gt got crunched by a deer. There is a black plastic box inside the passenger side front fender, near the firewall, with a couple of vacuum lines running off it. The car is a couple thousand miles away, so all I can see is a pic.

what is it? It's cracked, does it need to be replaced, can it be repaired with silicone?

There is the cruise control, but that should be in the driver's side. There is also the Charcoal canister for the fuel vent. That might be it.

Probably needs to be replaced.
