What's your average MPG?

With a bone stock 00 GT i get around 21mpg on the highway if im really easy and around 15-16 in town. I drive all highway all week long to work and I ussually get around 260-280miles to tank just driving normal. If im just around town its more like 200-220miles to a tank.

Hi everyone, I was just wondering whats your average mpg? Mine is 12mpg and I don't drive aggressive all the time. My car is able to go 160 miles with a full tank of premium gas.

Man, that sucks  What all have you done to the car?

I normally average 18.5 MPG for my daily commute and round town excursions. Last couple of months it's dropped down to 15~16 but it should come back up once the weather starts warming up and I think they started putting more ethanol in the winter gas this year.

Highway I get 24~28 MPG, depending on how far I'm going, how many times I have to stop and how much driving I do at my destination.

I just have a flowmaster cat back, trick flow throttle body, and a bbk intake.

I am usually nothing less that 17 around town down here in FL. But, with the crappy freezing weather It has dipped to a solid 15 mpgs. My last highway trip was 22 mpg when it was under 40 degrees out the whole way, probably would have been 24-28 if it were 50-80 outside.

On average, with city driving, spirited at times, I pull around 220 to a tank. I've gotten down as far as 180 to a tank, and as high as 230-240 to a tank. 15 year old 302's don't do TOO well on gas. :p

12-13 usually. It doesn't get out much, but it's used when it does.

Usually the first tank after hibernations gets me about 150 -160 miles. I've only checked the mileage once. It wasn't one of the factors with buying it, since it's a fair weather/weekend toy.

The only times I really kept track were the trips to a friends place 330 miles away. I could make it there on one tank. Light was on for awhile, but I knew I could make it. It was 98% highway at 75-85mph.

I normally only go through a tank a month, so I've never kept track.

It seems there's some huge variances in numbers.

i get about 23 on the highway. i dont know about the in town b/c it takes months to run out a full tank. i would guess around 16 normal driving and it is well under 10 if i drive the car it was meant to be driven.

i ran out a full tank in under 100 miles one night:(

It's amazing what a difference stop & go traffic makes on mileage. Interstate cruising is ideal of course, but even driving to these little country towns at the ends of long, windy, backwoods roads nets me around 25 MPG as long as I can keep it in 4th & 5th gear most of the time.

My mileage gets a little better during summer vacation because of the sheer volume of school traffic that disappears on our end of town - there's a high school, middle school, 2 elementary schools and a community college all with in a stones throw of our neighborhood. Fall, winter & spring, the highway is like a parking lot at 7am - for two glorious months in the summer, you can see tumbleweed rolling across the road.
