It's just really hard to maintain a home and not have a truck. I tried it about 20 years ago. It just didn't work out. Can't haul lumber, or furniture, or a refrigerator, or much of anything in the trunk of a car. I prefer driving a sporty car, but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess. This current truck is paid for and will stay with me until it rolls over dead. Then I'll go buy a ten year old truck to replace it I guess. In the mean time...

A lot of people do have trucks...
1994 Grand Cherokee as the DD/water duty

2007 Duramax as the bigger tow rig, and a 72 CT70H to zip around

Thanks! That's the reason why the fox doesn't get any love over the summer. Running around the East coast racing those.

I've considered getting a dual purpose or enduro bike I could street legally to zip around on and ride to town, but I'm afraid a teenager with a cell phone will finish me off. I keep a class M license but there are too many nuts on the road to use it anymore..

That's exactly what happened to my buddy. Kid had his license for a week and cut him off - totalled his Harley. He's ok but he couldn't race jetskis with us for a year! After that I've been wary of two wheels around cars.

Part of why I don't ride a lot. Got my license, and then a friends cousin was killed in a motorcycle accident. Kinda put the damper on things.

My dad bought a Harley in 2006 new. He rode it one summer, and never really rode it again.

It sits on my garage now. I take it out now and then, but just locally. As it sits now, it has 1100 miles on it.

With motorcycles you are truly at the mercy of stupid people on the road. Drivers are distracted more now than ever and I prefer to have some metal and a bumper between me and the idiot that's texting behind me. I've been in 3 accidents in my lifetime and it's always somebody else hitting me. In addition to that I've had 3 vehicles that were parked that were hit, 2 of them were a total loss. People are trying to tell me something I'm sure.

I'll play.

Winter daily/bad weather summer daily: '02 V6 AWD Explorer, loaded, with ice cold A/C and 206,000 miles.

Summer daily on nice weather days: '11 GT

Nice weather, no daycare duty toy: '09 Buell XB12R (I am a very defensive rider, always looking for someone to murder me)

had a 95 Miata with suspension work and bolt ons. i miss that car. so much fun to rip thru the twisties. sometimes i wish i would of kept it and went forced induction, as my biggest gripe was that it was under powered.

My daily driver is a 2015 Explorer but I use our 2008 Mazda 3 when I'm not taking the kids to daycare.

If no daycare is involved and the weather is decent, then I use the fox body.
