Well I am ready for new rims and tires on my 06 GT. Currently I have the stock 17's on the car. I'm wondering about the pros and cons of the different sizes (e.g., 17's vs 18's). I'm thinking I want all corners the same width and height but not sure what size rims to go with. I know 18's look better, but is there any advantage to having the larger rim? I'm most interested in good handling.

Bigger wheels=larger rotational mass=loss of performance & fuel economy.

They sure look good, though! I love my 20's. If you're looking to squeeze every horsepower out of your car, go with a well-made, light-weight 18" wheel;

As far as handling goes, the wheel size will not make as much of a difference as the tire sizes. Low profile tires handle better, but you will feel every bump on the road deep within your soul. Taller tires are sloppier, but ride much smoother.

All IMO, of course.

Man those wheels look great. I like your formula. Makes it easy to understand. Sounds like 18's are a good blend of performance and looks. Any suggestions on well manufactured light weight wheels that won't break the bank? I was checking out some of the deals on the Wheel Pit web site. They don't list the weight or construction of the wheel though.
