As of now I am running 17" wheels and I have to be honest compared to newer vehicles it looks like crap. I wondering what 18" wheels fit the mustang fox with the 5 lug conversion? I am running the Ford Racing Springs with 94-95 spindles and stock length axles in the rear. Currently looking FR500 Wheels but need to know the correct size. Will the 18" x 9" fit without rubbing? If not what will?

I have 255/35/18s on 18x9 Saleen Reps, 24mm offset, 96+ spindles, front coilovers, fox control arms moved inboard 3/4". I put in 5/16 spacers so rim would clear coil spring, may not need it with conventional springs. No rubbing.

Post of pic of your car OP. It'll be hard to make a fox look like a newer car.

Looking at getting the FR500 wheels here. I was thinking 265 in the rear and 245 in the front. Thoughts?

17×8 with a 245/45 for reference.
18s will look nice, 17s fit these cars well though.
Rear is same size tire on a 9"

The front has about a 2 inch gap where the rear is about 1.5. I haven’t replaced the rear springs yet with the Ford performances ones, so I assumes that’s why it’s a bit lower.

245 is a bit of a stretch on a 9" rim. Given that, an 8" rim would be much better suited for a 245 and a 275 should be used on a 9" rim.

However, i don't think they make 17x8 FR500's so you are limited there.

Sounds like an 18x10 would be a better fit for a 265 tire? I’m pretty certain they will fit but I need to do some measuring.

When it comes to rim and tire sizes, i go by a general rule that the tire should be 2" wider than the rim. So for a 10" rim you'd be looking at a 305 width tire. A 9" rim would be 275. 8" rim would be 255 Obviously that would be tough to fit a 305 or 315 on a fox so some folks tend to run a 295 or even a 285 on 10" wide rims.

If you only plan to run a 265 tire, than a 9" rim would be a much better choice, unless of course you are looking for that deep dish look.

While i'm all for 18 inch wheels, they aren't going to fix how the car looks.
That's just too much gap in the front.

I run 18's on two of my foxes. The green car has 275/35/18 rear and 245/40/18 front. The black car has 265/40/18 rear and 235/40/18 front. Neither rub. No rolled fenders, both cars lowered on eibach springs. 94/95 front spindles, rear fox length 5 lug axles.

Wow! That looks really good, nice work! What size wheels? Any spacers for the front and rear? If so what size?
