I think I posted on here back in Feb regarding some Boyd Coddington Smoothie II wheels I purchased for my ride and had issues with the company sending two different front wheels, one of which hits the brake caliper.

After 2 1/2 months I still have not gotten the front wheel problem solved. Cruizin' Concepts claims it can take up to 12 weeks for a matching front wheel to come in. They say it needs to be made? I call them weekly for updates, I've even called Boyd Coddington wheels (American Racing), and they said that wait time is possible! Coddington worked with me and gave me a part number and locations of some that are in warehouses in Chicago that are supossed to fit, however they don't sell direct!? I forwarded that info to Cruizin' Concepts and they reply- We'll forward it to our purchaser...

I'd return the whole mess but I modified the rear wheels to fit over my spacers. I've been searching for Coddington wheel dealers and e-mailing them with no success... I need help!

I kinda threated Cruizin Concepts last week and they said that they approved my claim to fix (THIER) mix-up and that by me going to the credit card company or better business bureau would cause even more problems, like them reporting me to credit companies for failure to pay, holding up this process and them possibly dropping the matter and I'm stuck with the wheels! THIS IS BULL!!

Luckly my friend gave me back my old wheels and tires so I can at least drive the car while I wait for this mess to someday come to an end.

This shouldn't be difficult, it's a mustang, they deal in mustang wheel & tire packages, it's not some one-off custom car.

What should I do? What would you do? This is beyond frustrating. Thanx for any advise.

This fits

wow that really sucks balls man. do they know you've modified the rear wheels to fit the spacers? i'd just try and screw them and return them all.

keep your eye out on classified ads on corral and such, maybe you can find a match used. then just return the wrong one

This makes me feel better about banning them when they tried to come on the forum and advertise, even though only paying StangNet Sponsors are permitted to advertise here. And even more so, only in the Vendor Sponsor Forums after they've become a sponsor of the site. If they're threatening to commit fraud for non-payment, by all means, let them. Then contact your state's attorney general and let the hilarity ensue as they get prosecuted for interstate theft and fraud. Your credit report would be fixed and they'd be in quite a bit of trouble.

I tried the 1/4" spacer and it just clears the caliper by 1/8". Also, the lip depth on the front side is different by 1". I'll give them another week or two and I'm calling the credit card company, calling them to send some boxes cause they are coming back for a refund.

Wow... I have worked with forum members from here and especially mustangforums.com for quite some time without any major problems. In fact, I asked our claims department about this and its seemed pretty cut and dry. By the way we are a sponsor...

First, Greg which is the main claim agent which was assisting Mark. He informed him of the special order wait time on the Boyd's were consequently extensive. This is something that was out of our purchasing departments control. Sometimes your at the mercy of the manufacture when they no longer produce a particular part number, as is the case here from what I've been told. That says allot all in itself.

This would be no different than UPS loosing a package and it being blamed on the shipper. You could only blame the shipper if the shipper actually was the carrier as well. Thats not to say that our guys in shipping etc never make a mistake. Customer service is all about if a company takes care of its mistakes. Even in cases were customers order the incorrect parts etc for there application which would be a problem caused by the customer our agents generally do there best to work with the customer to insure that there happy.

Never at any point does it appear that our company made it a point not to assist the customer. In fact we have resolved this issue for the customer and he has been shipped an exchange some time ago I'm told which were Foose Legend Wheels. He may even like these better in the end, as it is one of our best sellers!

Anyway, I'm sure its all good. I just hate running across a thread were our agents went out of there way and in the end probably did more than our competitors would have considering our major competition and I wont name anyone doesn't even accept returns on wheel and tire packages period. Our company is very lenient in this regard when working with customers. Enough said.

Hey Mike, thank you for clarifying Cruizin' Concepts' position on this issue. I don't mean any disrespect regarding my ban comment above, as you weren't a sponsor at the time and it may not have even been yourself doing the advertising. We had also only heard one side of the story, and there's that old saying, there's 3 sides to every story: Your story, my story, and the truth. Nonetheless, I would like to extend a public apology to you if you feel I have been in any way, shape, or form disrespectful to yourself, or to Cruizin Concepts. :)

I'm also happy to hear the issue has been resolved with both parties involved being satisfied in the final outcome. You coming to explain your side of the story means a lot, and I'm glad you stand behind the service and products your company sells.
