I am looking at getting a set of these wheels. I will be doing a 5 lug conversion, using 94-95 spindles with 99-04 calipers up front. I have heard that there will be a problem with the front center caps not fitting. Can someone please give me a definite answer as to if these will fit fine or not, with the brakes I'm using? Or what needs to be done to make these wheels fit? Thanks

Those GT wheels and centers WILL fit with 94-95 and 96-04 Mustang spindles.

If you used an Mark VII 5 lug swap, the center caps would not fit unless you used a spacer, smash the dust cap in and possibly grind the back or the center cap a few millimeters.

not trying to hijack this thread, but seeing it made me wonder if the 94-95 tri-bar 17" wheels would fit with the mark vii rotors since it has a deeper center cap area, or you would need the spacer for them as well ? i know the 16" ponies fit without using the 94+ spindles but have always wondered about the tri-bar wheels

Tri bars are the other wheel option I'm thinking of doing. My brother has two nice, usable ones, so I'd have to get the other 2. I would paint the centers black, and use chrome pony wheel center caps. I like them myself, but it seems alot of people I ask, hate them.

The Tri bars should fit the Mark VII rotors fine. I love the look of Tri bars on a fox, in fact I should be picking up a set today. I want to polish the lip and the hub part over the winter then have them powdercoated to look like a '93 R wheel.

iwashmycar has the tri bars on a fox. Most SN95 wheels look better on fox bodies than they do on the cars they actully came on. lol.

Tri bars should fit the Mark swap because they cap is curved outward instead of inward. Go SN95 spindles though, much better brakes with those than the fox spindles can get you.
