Wheel fitment on 66'

First, I want to run 18x9 Saleen wheels on my 66'. Is this possible at all? I know a 245 tire will fit a 9" rim.

Second, I want to do an 8.8 conversion. With the b.s. on the late model wheels, what rear do you recommend I use and how much will it need to be cut?

Hope this isnt too confusing.

I think the 18x9 will be to much diameter for a 65/66, but I've never seen or done it so I can't say for sure. on the 8.8 I think the explorer rear is the rear of choice and then cut one side but I'm not up to date on this one either. Personally I think if you have to cut down a rear get a 9 and have the ease of changing out centers.

18's will fit,as far as 9" wide,im not sure about that
