Hi all, first time posting here so have mercy if this has been asked already lol.
I have a '66 coupe, 302cin , the guy i bought it from said it had been rebuilt and the transmission rebuilt aswell, and also , that it has a 9 inch rear end.
Is the 9 inch standard for the 66 or did those start on '67's? I was wondering if this would affect the backspace needed and all that for the wheels I want.
I am looking to just put some Cragar s/s wheels on for the time being. 16x7's with 3.5 backspace, but I read on the dodgestangs chart that a 4.1 backspace was needed. I don't really know much about 'backspacing' or 'offset' for that matter.
My goal is to just get some wider tires on there. I have 14x6's right now
I just need some help on what size and what kinda backspace i need for my car. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks all
