Wheel hop question

I used the search and helped a bit.....

My car has a lot of wheel hop under a medium to hard launch. It has newerish KYB shocks and Ebaich lowering springs.

I know F-bodys have this problem when the car gets lowered and the correction is Control Arm relocation Brackets, (do they make those for a Fox?)

Would new bushings, Upper and Lower Control arms solve this? I would like to keep it lowered since it handles great, but I want to be able to launch hard as well.

Suggestions??

Thanks

Ya, I still have them. They are A LOT smaller right? They look like the originals. Any stronger replacments?

I think im going to go with one of the upper and lower set ups from ebay (blue oval industries). 140 to the door seams like a good deal.

Between that and the Sub frams I am making, they car will seam like its on rails. Already does with bald tires.

I must say, I really like the Egronomics of the Fox body. Driving it is different than a F-body and learning the breaking point will be tough. I knew just how hard I could push my Firebird.....Just time in the seat I guess:nice:

It's hit or miss if new control arms allow you to ditch the quads or not. I have all brand new control arms - Max motorsports LCA's, Steeda UCA's, new rubber axle housing bushings, Tokico shocks....and i still have wheel hop without quads and ~$800 in new rear suspension parts.

Before, ordering anything, i'd check the condition of your bushing and shocks. Make sure none of the original bushings are tearing away or the shocks leaking. You may have to unbolt them to check. The verticle shocks should move with resistance, and when released, they should fully extend. The qua shocks should move with resistance but not return when released. If they are leaking or loose, then then need to be replaced.

The bushings are shot on the control arms. I think I am going to get the set I was talking about. Im also going to replace the Quad shocks.

Thanks guys.
