Wheel Offset/Tire Size Question

Just got a new Bullitt and I am considering getting a new set of wheels for the car. I'd like to keep the stockers in good shape just in case for the future, and I also would like something a little flashier. I want to stay with the bullit style wheel, but I'd like to get a set of knockoffs in chrome or polished. Anyway, I know most guys run 18x10 on the rear and 18x9 on the front. I want to stick with a tire close to the stock size, maybe a 255/45/18? Is that too narrow for a 9"-10" wheel? I like the look of a dished wheel that sits even with the fenders, what kind of offset looks good on these cars if I want to stay with a smaller tire? Any input appreciated

If you want to stay closest to stock, you're best off with a 275/40/18 on an 18x10 or 255/45/18 on a 18x9. In all honesty, though, it looks better if the front and rear have the same sidewall. So if you're dead set on keeping close to stock, I would just go 18x9 all the way around and go with 255/45/18.
