Even if the rim is only 2" wide? LOLThe smallest tire you can fit on a 17" is a 245 I believe.

In a nut shell:
Rear: 235 45 17 no mods needed.
Rear: 245 45 17 sometimes you need to roll the fender depending on a lot of factors
Rear: 255 40 17 with fender rolled
Front: 215 45 17 no mods needed if bone stock on the front end
Front: 235 45 17 no mods to fender needed if you have the shleby drop
All tire sizes qouted for a 17x8 4.75bs wheel.
