Wheel Spacers...Does Brand Matter?

but anyway, it doesn't say anwhere in the ad what kind of studs those are so i'd be worried about their strength.

Is there any reason that the ones on Ebay would be no good?

been running a set of those for 4 months on our mach, no problems to date. We pulled the rotors off and sanded the rusty crud off so it had a nice flat surface when we installed the spacers.

By set of "those" youre referring to those exact ones from Ebay?

Did you have to but your stock studs a bit?

Rob, those are probably the exact same ones I have on my car. It's been a while, haven't done a bad thing yet on my car.

A word of caution though, for the first month or so, just check on'em every couple of days.

Those are the same ones. Didn't have to do anything but clean the rotor surface up and put them on. Worked with the stock Mach wheels as well as the Black FRPP Bullitt wheels we have on it now.

I've heard the H&Rs are better because of their design...But who knows...

Theres a local guy here that almost had a wheel come off because his wheel spacers...I guess some of the studs broke off...

ive had similar ones on my car for a few years, abs no problems. The spacers with studs on them are the only way to go, as opposed to the "washer" style

i wouldn't skimp on the wheel spacers, i've heard some terror stories of them causing wheels to come-off during hiway driving, so make sure you get quality spacers.

Wheel spacers are not a place to cheap out. Buy a quality brand name. Forget that eBay crap.

You wanna buy a knock off intake, go for it. But don't buy a no-name wheel spacer - please.

Depends on the cause of the failure. But chances are, yes they would be liable. Hence, buy from a good brand, one that will be around and have deep pockets in case you should need to sue them. A fly by night eBay seller will disappear in an instant. Eibach will be around, and will pay.

But that's all besides the point. The real issue is that you should buy quality on critical components. Then you can rest assured that it won't fail in the first place.

Yep...our bastard red-headed step child cars have the gay looking cut off fender (no flare) and a tucked in rear wheel.

1/2" or less come with no studs, but dont make much of a difference....1" and up come with pre-mounted studs, but may require you to cut your own stud a little.

BTW...anyone with 1" NOT have to cut their studs?

we have 1" spacers and the stock studs do hang out some but the wheels (stock machs and frpp black bullitts) clear them fine. May depend on the wheels your running.
