Well, I broke a stud while driving my Cobra this week. But what I did was used my stock lugs on 18x10.5 rear rims and a 5/16" spacer (because of the IRS Rear). So too much HP & TQ snapped one.
So, instead of ordering the extender kits that bolt on to the spindles & have longer studs attached already, I picked up the Morosso Stud Kit for 99-04 Stangs. the are 1/2" x 20 thread (stock) and 3" long. They hardened Steel & coated to prevent rust.
Only cost 25.00 for 10 total.
took about 2 hrs to swap them out. The part number is MOR 46180
