i need to know if the front and rear wheel studs are different sizes because i need long studs to mount my pro-stars. i know they are 1/2 x 20 x 3" threads but i need to know the press in knurl diameter. Summit has two different sizes from moser, 0.615" knurl and 0.685" knurl. is that for front and rear or is the front and rear the same size. thanks for your help.

Anyone know the answer to this??? I am in need of 3" studs up front and I don't know what knurl size I need. I'd prefer to not drill the hub if I don't have to.

.625 knurl worked for me in the rear with no drilling. the front is smaller so I used the 39/64 bit to drill them out and fit the .625 knurl in there. I believe a .618 knurl would fit in the front with no drilling but they are expensive. Overall it was easy to drill out the fronts, just make sure to use the 39/64 bit, a really good CORDED drill, some Rapid-Tap cutting fluid, and take your time drilling (slow and steady gets through those hubs the fastest). The fluid is very important as well to help make sure your bit stays sharp and lubricated, otherwise I guaruntee you will destroy a bit before you finish the first hole... Good luck.
