Wheel Studs

Does anybody have a quick way to install the rear wheel studs .Two of my rear wheel studs snapped while I was tighning them good thing it didnt happened at the track.I did some in the past on another car but it was a pain so for the stang I need it asap since it's my daily driver. thanks

Well, I'm not sure if you can press them out and put a new one in from the back without pulling the axle. No matter how you get the new stud in, I like using a spare lug nut, some washers, and an impact wrench to pull the spline of the stud into the flange on the axle.

I have used an old closed end lugnut and bottom it out or get it on as much as possible without being snug to the plate its threw. Then beat it with a hammer. I have gotten them out in like 3-5 hits.

Then like posted used an imact and a open end lug to bring it tight/press it in.

you shouldn,t have to remove the axle to get them in just make sure you get studs that are moon shaped if not grind down a side to clear the abs ring I think , you have to remove the caliper bracket and rotor dont unhook e brake cable its a beach to get back on

I replaced a stripped one about 6 months ago

Good luck
