In two weeks I'll be ordering wheels and tires and I'm having fits about which setup to get, thought I'll let you folks help decide. Since buying the car in November of 2007, I've constantly swayed back from one to the other and even now as the moment of decision approaches, I can't commit either way. Here's what I'm looking at:

1) Black Shelby GT500s - 18x9.5 on 275/40 Sumitomo HTRZ III tires, all the way around

2) Black Bullitts - 20x8.5 on 255/35 for the front and 20x9.5 on 275/30 for the rear, Sumitomo HTRZ III tires

I'm open to opinions, positive and negative alike on ride quality, performance, appearance, weight, fitment issues, etc; if you have a similiar setup, I'd like to see it, esp on a black car. I'll post which route I decided to go the first Friday in February and again with the results once I have them mounted. Thanks!

I don't like 20" wheels. The wheels are two heavy and too expensive, and so are the tires.

I like the look of 20's, but you do sacrifice performance and fuel economy. I don't like the Bullits because everyone has them; although they are good looking wheels. I don't like the GT500 wheels because they aren't staggered; but you don't see those everyday so that's a plus.

I don't know, man. Either way, it's going to look better than stock. I'd have to go with the 20" staggered in black to match your car.

20" Bullitts, are hidious. The spokes get to wide near the lip, I think 18" Bullitt would be a better choice.

And 20's make the brakes look tiny.

Bullitts are boring. I like the idea of deep dish, but find staggered in the 18" size.

I vote for ~keep looking~

I'd vote for 18" staggered Bullitts. Granted they're seen a lot on the Stangs, but it looks good! Black car with black spoke wheels and polished lip.
